Turkey’s Kardemir has published its sales volume plans for Q3 2021 which runs from July to September. This helps potential buyers with their raw material sales needs for the period. 30pc of the volumes have already been committed to buyers while 70pc of the production is available.
Kardemir expects to sell 142,000mt of rebar, 173,000mt of billet, 109,000mt of beams, and 139,000mt of bars in coil in Q3. This plan is lower than the steel production plan in Q3 2020 for rebar and billet which were 160,000mt of rebar and 256,000mt of billet, but higher on beams and coil which were 108,000mt, and 123,000mt, respectively. The estimated output for billet is reduced by 32.4pc and rebar is lower by 11.3pc in Q3 2021 compared to the previous year.
Compared to the Q2 2021 sales plan, rebar is the same, billet increased 3.6pc, beams plan fell by 1.8pc, and bars in coil rose by 1.5pc.
