Kazakhstan’s crude steel production in March 2021 stood at 374,422mt, up by 7.3pc as compared to the same month in 2020, according to media reports citing data released by the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The country’s flat steel output in March rose by 29.3pc to 257,486 tons from the year before.

Kazakhstan’s ferroalloy production in March stood at 158,493mt, down by 14.9pc from the same month in 2020.

 

Q1 2021 output

In the first quarter of the year (Jan-Mar, 2021), the country’s crude steel output grew by 8.2pc to 1.04mn mt from the prior-year period.

The country’s output of flat steel products in the Jan-Mar period stood at 663,778mt, registering a growth of 26pc as compared to the same period in the preceding year.

In Q1 2021, Kazakhstan’s ferroalloy production fell by 9,2pc to 498,070mt as compared to the same quarter in the prior year (Q1 2020).
