Iran-based Khuzestan Steel’s ingot production reached a record of 2mn mt in the first six months (March-August) of the Iranian fiscal year despite obstacles due to US sanctions, harsh summer, and Coronavirus pandemic, the company said in a statement.

 

The company produced 1.24mn mt of ingots in the first quarter (Q1). 

 

The monthly ingot production grew four times in April and June, while daily production increased in March and April.

 

The company further informed that it aims to prioritize domestic demands in the coming quarters, while a portion of the output has been reserved for exports.

 

The company’s steel ingot output is projected to reach 3.8mn mt annually.
