Turkish company Koc Kablo announced the opening of its Georgian arm in Tbilisi which involves an investment of GEL15mn ($4.89mn). This new manufacturing unit will produce aluminium and copper wires. It is a part of Enterprise Georgia programme that facilitates foreign direct investment in Georgia.
On reaching its full production capacity, Koc Kablo’s Georgia unit will produce 12,000mt of copper and aluminium wire per year worth GEL 300mn ($97.91mn).
Spread over 32,000 sq m, the company’s new facility will export aluminium and copper wires to Burkina Faso and Ghana. It is currently in negotiations with companies in the United Kingdom and Gulf.
