Carmaker Lamborghini is expecting record sales in India this year, owing to a V-shaped demand recovery after the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the country, according to reports.
The Italian sports carmaker aims to surpass its previous sales of 52 units in 2019, in the pre-pandemic period.
The carmaker has seen 20pc growth in sales in H1 as compared to 2019. The company’s new orders also grew by 20pc and customer delivery and are on track to beat previous estimates.
As more Indians get vaccinated, the carmaker expects an improvement in market sentiment. The carmaker has also said the company has always maintained an upward trajectory in the country, except in 2020, where both supply and demand were affected.
