Luxury sports car brand Lamborghini plans to invest $15bn to produce hybrid gas-electric cars (HEVs) by H2 2024. It is also mulling a completely electric line-up later in the decade.
Lamborghini will shift its sports cars Huracan, Aventador, and sports utility model Urus to HEV production according to its statement to the media on Tuesday. Its EV model will be a four-seater, however, the design is under development.
The company has yet to disclose production phases and capacity for the HEV line-up.
