Lanka Aluminum has named Dinal Peiris its new chairman.

 

Peiris has been the company’s managing director since 1999, but his career began in 1989 when he joined Comcraft Group, a major shareholder in Lanka Aluminum. 

 

Under the leadership of Peiris, the company has diversified and expanded its business operations to steel, textiles, plastics, and it’s opened facilities in India, Vietnam, and Kenya. 

 

Peiris is also a key leader in 10 other Sri Lankan companies, including as chairman of Merbok MDF Lanka, Comark Engineers, Marshall Investments, and Almeco. 

 

Lanka Aluminum is the country’s top producer of aluminum extrusions, which is used in high-rise construction in the island nation.
