Latin American crude steel countries reduce its crude steel production in April this year compared to the same month last year.
Brazil crude steel output dropped by 39pc to 1.8mn mt in April this year compared the same month the prior year, according to the latest figures released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel).
Mexico, the second-largest steel producer in the region, also saw a reduction in its crude steel production by 12.1pc to 1.4mn mt in the same period.
Argentina crude steel output plunged by 74.5pc to 107,000mt in April this year compared the same month last year, Colombia steel production also went down by 49pc to 50,000mt, Peru crude steel output decreased by 58.9pc to 40,000mt, and Ecuador steel production down by 28.1pc to 35,000mt.
On the other hand, Chile crude steel production increased by 187.6pc to 45,000mt, WSA said.
