French auto company Le Belier has begun construction of a new auto parts manufacturing plant in Guanajuato, Mexico, with an investment of over $68mn.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the plant in one of the main industrial complexes in Guanajuato concluded recently, local press reported.
The plant is set to have an area of 23,500sq meters and will generate 496 new direct jobs and produce aluminum automotive parts, such as brackets, motor mounts, and braking systems.
At the end of the ceremony, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, governor of Guanajuato, said he was satisfied with the job creation the plant will create. Le Belier signed an agreement with the Technological University of San Miguel for the first Foundry School in the state.
