LIBERTY Steel’s Czech Republic plant LIBERTY Ostrava’s Q1 2021 production grew by 20pc from the same quarter in 2020, while production increased by 70pc compared to the pandemic-affected second quarter of 2020. 

 

From the beginning of this year until March, LIBERTY Ostrava shipped out close to 500,000mt of steel products totally with its January and March production increasing by 200,000mt each, the company said in a statement.

 

LIBERTY Ostrava expects its EBITDA in Q1 2021 starting Jan 1 will be more than €60mn ($71.8mn) since GFG Alliance acquired it in July last year. 

 

The mill is operating at full capacity currently and has procured all raw material required for it to run at full capacity.
