Steelmaker Liberty House plans to resume production in a phased manner at Adhunik Metaliks and its subsidiary Zion Steel by September-end according to media reports. 

 

Adhunika Metaliks intends to restart its captive power plant as it has restored the power supply from the State power distribution company. Liberty House aims to ramp-up the capacity of the plant and upgrade in the medium-term. The company has invested Rs5bn in Adhunik and is likely to supply another Rs3bn in the coming months.

 

Adhunik Metaliks has an integrated steel plant in Odisha with 500,000mt of annual production capacity and 34MW captive power plant. It supplies auto-grade alloy steel, stainless and engineering steel. Zion Steel’s rolling mill has an annual capacity of 0.12mn mt.
