North America’s Lordstown Motors has appointed Becky Roof as its interim chief financial officer (CFO) and newly hired Angela Strand will oversee most of the executive transitions as the lead independent director.
This move comes after the carmaker’s chief executive officer (CEO) and founder Steve Burns and CFO Julio Rodriguez stepped down according to the company’s statement on Tuesday. Both transitions are effective immediately until the company can find suitable replacements, Lordstown noted in its statement.
Strand is the managing director of technology strategy advisory firm Strand Strategy while Roof is a certified public accountant with years of experience in finance.
Lordstown is committed to its production, commercialization objectives, noted Strand on Jun 15. The company has announced a slew of other transitions at its executive management levels along with Roof and Strand.
These appointments follow closely after Lordstown responded to the Hindenburg Report casting doubts on the company’s production timeline and other factors of its Endurance truck lineup.
