  • Maharashtra Seamless, a DP Jindal group company, has received a Rs500 crore (US$ 70 million) order for the supply of seamless casings to ONGC.

  • The company recently reported production of seamless pipes for the second quarter of the current fiscal at 83,000 mt, an increase by 30pc when compared to the same quarter last year.

  • Its sales figure for the same period are at 79,000 mt, an increase by 4pc when compared to last year. 
  •  
  • Its production of ERW pipes stands at 20,000 mt for the second quarter, an increase of 11pc as compared to the same quarter the prior year. However, its sales figures for ERW pipes are down by 5pc in the same period.
  •  
  • The company’s installed capacity for seamless pipe production is 350,000 mt and 200,000 mt at its Raigad and Mangaon plants, respectively, both located in Maharashtra.
  •  
  • As much of 60 per cent of Maharashtra Seamless’ order book comes from the oil and gas sector (upstream- exploration).
  • Its ERW installed capacity is 200,000 mt, also located at Mangaon in Maharashtra.
