Maruti Suzuki has resumed operations at Gurgaon manufacturing plant from May 18. Maruti Suzuki one of the largest automakers in India had reopened its Manesar plant in last week. The company has two manufacturing plants in India.
India has been relaxing lockdown measure gradually and several automakers and auto ancillaries companies have restarted production. Maruti will adhere to new working policy set by the government in relation to COVID-19.
The resumption of manufacturing activities in auto sector plays a major role in boosting demand for various metals and scrap. Zinc and lead scrap sellers are eagerly awaiting the resumption of auto units to restart their operations.
