Germany’s Maxion Wheels has completed the construction of its new factory building in Manisa, Turkey. The company plans to fully commission the plant and begin production in Q1 2022. 

 

The wheel maker’s Turkish subsidiary, Maxion Jantaş currently produces 2.4 million units of steel wheels for the light and commercial vehicle industry in the country. The new Manisa plant is expected to add an annual production capacity of around 600,000 units, expressly for commercial vehicles and trucks. 

 

Maxion is the world’s largest steel and aluminum wheels producer with a global output of 55 million units per year. Pieter Klinkers, chief executive officer, Maxion, said that the company expects global freight demand to grow continually over the next five years.
