Outotec Oyj and Metso Corporation will complete their merger on June 30, 2020, after Metso’s partial demerger based on a plan and agreement signed by both companies last year.
Metso’s demerger is expected to be registered at the Finnish Trade Register by the evening of June 30, Outotec announced in a media release on Tuesday.
Both companies received all regulatory approvals needed for this transactions, they said last week, with Outotec being renamed as Metso Outotec Corporation following the merger with trading under the new name beginning on July 1. The portion of Metso that will not merge with Outotec will be renamed Neles Corporation.
Metso’s current president and chief executive officer Pekka Vauramo will continue to serve as the president and chief executive officer of Metso Outotec Corporation, the company noted.
