Metso Outotec has sold its metal processing and mineral equipment manufacturing firm Outotec Turula Oy to UAB Arginta Engineering in Lithuania, for an undisclosed amount.
Outotec Turula is in eastern Finland and the transaction is expected to close on Oct 1 this year, according to Metso’s statement on Sep 7. The existing 120 employees at the Turula workshop will continue to work at the location.
Arginta specializes in engineering and machinery manufacturing for various industries and employs close to 200 employees, and operates out of two locations in Lithuania.
Apart from this, Metso Outotec also announced that it will deliver the largest of its kind, energy-efficient stirred mills to a greenfield plant in Liaoning Province in China. The order will be booked under the company’s Q3 earnings, but the value of the order is not disclosed.
Metso Outotec stated that this stirred mill will help the Chinese firm increase its iron ore concentrate production.
