Mexico ferrous scrap exports increased by 22.7pc (12,946mt) to 69,973mt in June from 57,027mt in the prior-year period.
In H1, Mexico ferrous scrap exports increased by 9.4pc (31,673mt) to 366,993mt from 335,319mt in H1 2020.
Mexico ferrous scrap exports to the US increased by 20pc to 58,938mt from 48,942mt in June from the prior-year period and increased by 13pc from 52,188mt in May.
Ferrous scrap exports to Taiwan in June fell by 41pc to 2,242mt from 3,816mt in June 2020 and by 55pc from 4,947mt in May.
Ferrous scrap exports in June from South Korea surged by 90pc to 2,195mt from 1,153mt in the prior-year period and by 6pc from 2,064mt in the prior month.
Mexico exported 2,087mt of ferrous scrap to India in June, an increase of 78pc from 1,169mt in June 2020 and an increase of 14pc from 1,834mt in May.
