Mexican automotive and manufacturing exports fell by 10pc to $10.8bn in February from a year ago, according to the National Statistics Agency (Inegi).
Automotive sales to the US fell by 11.6pc in February compared to the same period in 2020 while manufactured product exports fell by 2.7pc to $31.8bn in February due to lower shipments of machinery and specialized equipment, which saw a 6.9pc decline in February, Inegi said without disclosing volume.
Mexico’s car production fell by 28.8pc to 238,868 units in February, from 335,708 vehicles in February 2020, according to figures from Inegi. Car shipments to the USA fell by 14.8pc to 346,847 units in February, from 407,282 vehicles exported in the same month last year.
