Japanese automotive manufacturer, Mitsubishi’s total production nosedived by 45pc in June to 49,363 units from the prior year.
Domestic sales in June slipped by 63.2pc to 5,301 units from prior June, while exports dipped by 32pc to 10,595 units from the prior year June.
Domestic production fell by 45pc in June at 24,675 units from June 2019 while overseas production fell to 24,688 units, drop of 45.4pc from prior June.
In June, overseas Asia production slipped by 45pc to 24,089 units. Exports to Asia fell by 19.4pc to 326 units, North America down 38pc to 2,475 units and exports to Europe slipped 15.5pc to 2,486 units from the prior year June.
From Jan-June, Mitsubishi’s total production declined by 65.1pc to 440,372 units. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted Japanese auto sector.
