MMK’s subsidiary company MMK Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant’s (MMK-LMZ) production of finished products increased in 2020 to 268,000mt at an annual revenue of RUB 17.9bn ($241.1mn).
MMK-LMZ is located in Russia’s Lvysa region and produces specialty steel products. Its painted steel production increased by 5,000mt in 2020 to 251,000mt compared to 2019. Production of electrolytically galvanized steel with protective polymer coating rose to 232,000mt from 209,000mt during the same timeframe. Its SteelArt decorative products volumes also increased to 18,700mt in 2020 from 15,900mt in 2019, it said in a statement.
MMK-LMZ also managed to increase its exports to countries like Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, Finland and Kazakhstan. It is the sole producer of polymer coated galvanized steel in Russia and provides material to the automotive, construction and engineering industries.
