Russia-based iron and steel company MMK group shipped 8.3mn mt of metal products to the Russian market in 2019, up by 8pc from the prior year.
In 2019, MMK’s hot-rolled steel formed 48pc of total shipments, long products were 17pc, cold-rolled steel 11pc, galvanised steel 14pc and polymer-coated steel 5pc share.
Sector-wise, MMK’s deliveries to the metal trade and service centres were 32pc; deliveries to the pipe industry were 31pc. Also, the machine-building plants accounted for 14pc of the total sales and auto sector and semi-integrated mills comprised of 7pc.
In the Russian spot market, 24pc of the total shipments were delivered to regional metal traders and steel service centres; 40pc were delivered to key metal trading companies and 36pc were delivered to MMK-owned retail network.
