India-based auto component maker Motherson Sumi has resumed operations at several of its manufacturing plants, according to a company’s release.

 

The company has resumed operations at 80 of its 152 units. Around 24 plants are operating at more than 80pc capacity, while the remaining are running at 50pc capacity. Motherson Sumi has obtained the required approvals from concerned authorities in these regions. Furthermore, the company awaits permissions to restart other plants soon. Necessary precautions have been adopted in adherence with COVID-19 guidelines. 

 

Motherson has operations in 41 countries across North America, South America, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Australia. The company produces cutting tools, broaches, gear cutting tools, thin film coating metals and aluminium die-cast parts, it also provides logistics and has a vertical for aerospace, defence and security products.
