US-based automobile manufacturer, Nikola Corp, halved its annual estimate of deliveries and reduced its revenue forecast owing to supply chain issues, which delayed the receipt of certain parts, according to local media.
The zero-emissions vehicle maker expects full-year deliveries to range between 25 and 50 units from a previous estimate of 50 to 100 units.
Constraints in supply could hamper validation, testing and the delivery timeline of vehicles, the carmaker said, adding that the company is currently expecting a revenue of up to $7.5mn for this year as opposed to a previous target of $15mn to $30mn.
A continued shortage of semiconductors has affected the production of major automakers including Ford, Honda, GM and Volkswagen.
