A stainless steel industrial base is set to come up in China’s Ningde city in Fujian province. It will have an annual capacity of 7mn mt of stainless steel and strive to get an output of around CNY230bn. According to the country’s 14th five-year plan, the city aims to invest CNY10bn and achieve an output value of CNY130bn in 2021.
As a part of the plan, the city plans to focus on introducing high-end stainless steel new material research and development, stainless steel product research and development design, logistics and storage, stainless steel trading center.
Key projects in the base consist of Qingtuo’s 300,000mt stainless steel cold-rolled and deep processing supporting facilities (Phase 1), 50,000mt stainless steel seamless steel pipes (Phase I), Aozhan Stainless Steel Industry Demonstration Park, among others.
