Chinese electric carmaker Nio has lowered its Q1 2021 deliveries target to 19,500 units from 20,000-20,500 units earlier due to a production cut beginning on Mar 29.
The company will idle output at one of its factories for five days starting Monday, due to the global semiconductor shortage, according to media reports. The manufacturer’s output is expected to decline by at least 500 units due to the shutdown.
In the fourth quarter of 2020, Nio delivered 17,533 units, up by more than doubled from 8,224 cars sold in Q4 2019.
