Nippon Steel announced the retirement of its executive officer Taisuke Nomura from late June on Tuesday. He is nominated for the post of executive advisor of Osaka Steel from Apr 1. Nomura is also nominated for the post of representative director and president of Osaka Steel in late June. The company’s annual shareholders meeting is scheduled for the end of June.
Osaka Steel Group is a principal electric arc steelmaker within the Nippon Steel Group. Osaka Steel supplies a wide range of steel products including angles, channels, bars, flat bars, light rails, and elevator guide rails.
He is also nominated to the board of Nippon Steel’s joint venture in India (ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel or AMNS).
