The closure and rehabilitation assessment of the Nkomati mine – a multi-metal mine in South Africa – will be completed by the end of March 2020. The mine will cease operations from the end of September 2020.

Nkomati mine is a 50:50 partnership between African Rainbow Mineral (Arm) and its partner Norlisk Africa.

The loss has been attributed to lower manganese and platinum production at the Nkomati mine.
