State-owned NMDC has restarted mining operations at its Donimalai iron ore mine in Karnataka from Feb 18 a press release by the company.
The company resumed mining operation after necessary approvals and lease extension for 20 years effective November 11, 2018, from the Government of Karnataka.
The Donimalai mines have a production capacity of 7mn mt annually and were shut after the NMDC’s lease expired in December 2018.
