Nornickel’s ore mining operation at its Oktyabrsky mine has been restored to full capacity after groundwater flooding in February this year.
The Russian nickel miner indicated in a media statement on Thursday that in April, the company completed 60pc of repair work at the mine, which is now recovered to full capacity of 14,100t (12,971mt).
Operations at the nickel producer’s Taimyrsky mine were also suspended due to flooding. This mine is expected to resume ore mining operations by Jun 1 this year.
