Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Canadian zinc and lead miner NorZinc announced that its president and chief executive officer, Don MacDonald, has resigned, with effect from May 3. Rohan Hazelton now steps in as his replacement. 

 

MacDonald has been with the company since May 2018. His finance and industry background has been key toward the development of NorZinc. Hazelton has held various leadership roles across his 20-year career in the mining industry. Notably, he has served as the chief financial officer for Cerrado Gold and Ascendent Resources before joining NorZinc.  

 

The firm is currently developing its Prairie Creek Mine located at the Canadian Northwest Territories, which contains 105mn lbs of lead concentrate and 95mn lbs of zinc concentrate with a 15 year mine life.
