The largest manufacturer of welded steel pipe in the US, Northwest Pipe, will supply products for an irrigation infrastructure modernization project in Central Oregon.
The Smith Rock-King modernization project will involve Northwest Pipe supplying 15.176 feet (2.87 miles) of 102- and 108-inch diameter polyurethane-coated engineered steel water pipe to the irrigation department in Deschutes, Oregon, the company said in a statement on September 21. The company will produce more than 3,215mt of pipe for the task.
This modernization will replace a part of the 7.9-mile pipeline that currently runs through the county.
