In October 2020, new car registrations in France fell by 9pc to 426,316 units from 466,081 units in October 2019, according to the data released by Comité des Constructeurs Français D’automobiles (CCFA).

 

Of the total, passenger car registrations fell by 9.5pc to 171,049 units, that of light vehicles fell by 8.5pc to 211,124 units, commercial vehicles slipped by 4.1pc to 40,075 units, and industrial vehicles fell by 10.8pc to 4,068 units.

 

In the Jan-Oct 2020 period, car registrations fell by 26pc to 3.35mn units from 4.5mn units in the prior-year period.
