Alexey Ugarov OEMK (OEMK) a part of Metalloinvest produced an additional 16,000mt of oxidized pellets at its pelletizing unit ahead of its estimated time.
The overhaul at the pellet plant was expected to be completed in 324 hours, which was reduced to 290 hours and also enabled additional production, the company said in a statement.
OEMK has also shipped its first batch of 100mm steel grinding balls to Lebedinsky GOK from its ball rolling facility. The facility was launched in October this year and aims to reach a ball bearing production capacity of 43,000mt per year.
Metalloinvest recently announced it has appointed Julia Mazanova as its new deputy chief executive officer. She will be responsible for introducing modern tools and international best practices to the company for further growth. Mazanova has been associated with Metalloinvest since 2010 and previously served the company as the social policy and corporate communication director.
