Osisko Metals announced on Tuesday that it had discovered high-grade zinc deposits grading at 31.1pc while drilling at 27.5 meters in its zinc-lead mining project at Pine Point in Northwest Canada.
Apart from this zinc deposit, the company also found zinc grading at 24.39pc at 25.8 meters and 9.38pc at 8.8 meters while its hydrogeological pit drilling revealed a higher quality ore grading at 33.42pc zinc at 0.5 meters.
The Canadian exploration and development company plans to receive the results of its winter drill campaign in the next few weeks, which may provide further clarity on its estimated ore resources. Pine Point’s indicated resources at present, are estimated at 12.9mn mt of 4.56pc zinc and inferred resources of 37.6mn mt grading at 4.8pc zinc.
