Stainless steel producer, Outokumpu announced that Tamara Weinert will be its new president of Business Area Americas effective immediately.
Weinert has replaced Olli-Matti-Saksi who has stepped down from the position to explore opportunities outside of the company.
Weinert has been the acting president of the Americas since October last year and has held various senior positions in finance, sales, and investor relations at the company. Prior to joining the company, she has held several leading positions in the energy sector companies in Europe, the company reported on Wednesday.
Outokumpu’s net sales in the Americas accounted for 21pc of the total sales while its net sales in Europe were 62pc. Net sales of long products, Ferrochrome, and other operations contributed to 7pc, 3pc and7pc of the total sales, respectively.
