The British Columbia Ministry of energy, mines, and petroleum resources has approved a multi-year exploration permit for Pacific Empire Minerals covering 100 reverse circulation and 20 drill hole sites at the company’s Jean-Marie project.
The Canadian miner said in a press release that the initial drilling will focus on its A-zone, which is close to numerous drill holes that interconnect with desirable grades of copper.
The drill target location is within the limits of a prior drilled area, which graded 0.3pc copper, the company said, and also includes a 27.4 meters area that yielded 0.53pc copper grading and resulted in mineralization.
The Jean Marie project comprises 7,350 hectares of contiguous mineral claims positioned 50 kilometers west of Centerra Gold’s Mt. Milligan copper mine in north-central British Columbia, Canada.
