Pakistan-based Naveena Steel’s mini-mill at Port Qasim, Sindh province has reached the completion of the start-up phase, according to China Metallurgical News.

 

The plant is equipped with steelmaking workshop and rebar rolling mill which would produce 270,000mt of rebar annually.

 

Naveena Steel is a subsidiary of Pakistan’s textile manufacturer Naveena Group. Following the development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CEPC), the company entered the steel market to cater to the rising demand for construction steel products. The mill would focus on continuous casting production with state-of-the-art equipment to producer high-quality rebars.
