Australian miner Panoramic Resources is set to resume its Savannah mining operations in Kimberly, West Australia with annual production targets of 9,072mt of nickel and 4,683mt of copper.
Underground mining and development will resume from August 2021, ore processing is scheduled for November 2021, and the first concentrate shipments will commence from December 2021, the company noted on Tuesday.
Panoramic has finalized a $45mn loan to finance its restart operations and an offtake agreement with Singaporean commodities trader Trafigura. The period for both is five years, from February 2023-2028.
The company had to shut the Savannah mine in April 2020 due to logistical issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
