Peruvian copper exports to China increased 66.5pc between January and June 2021, compared to the same period last year, reported the Chinese Peruvian Chamber of Commerce (Capechi).
According to Capechi, the main destination for Peruvian copper ore in the first half of 2021 was China, with a total shipment value of $4.94mn.
Peru’s iron exports to the Asian country in H1 2021 also saw a 273.2pc increase compared to last year, to $1.19mn.
Peru’s total exports to China were $8.44mn between January and June 2021, of which $7.09mn, or 84.1pc, corresponded to the mining sector.
