Pilbara Minerals’ Pilgangoora, West Australia, lithium project contains 39pc more mineral resources than was projected in June last year.
According to the most recent exploration drilling, the mine’s inferred and indicated resources are now at 308.9mn mt with a grading of 1.14pc, equivalent to 3.5mn mt of lithium oxide.
Ken Brinsden, CEO, Pilbara Minerals, noted in a Sep 6 statement that these increased projections reinforce Pilgangoora’s status as one of the world’s leading hard rock lithium assets.
Further exploration drilling is currently underway and Brindsen added that the company will publish an update to their ore reserves next month, which could increase current estimates.
