Polish new passenger car (PC) and light commercial vehicle (LCV) registrations in the first eight months (January-August) of the year declined by 30.8pc to 292,239 units from 422,406 units in the prior year period, according to the Polish Association Of Automotive Industry (PZPM) citing data by Central Register of Vehicles (CEP).

 

Poland’s PC and LCV sales in August stood at 39,539 units, down by 27.1pc from 54,217 units in the same month last year.

 

Passenger car registrations in August decreased by 27.9pc to 34,707 units from 48,107 units, while LCV sales dropped by 20.9pc to 4,832 units from 6,110 units in the same month year prior.

 

In January-August, PC sales plummeted by 31.6pc to 256,954 units as compared to 375,504 units in the prior-year period, while LCV sales this year in January-August stood at 35,285 units, down by 24.8pc from 46,902 units in the same period last year.

 

In the first 20 days of September, passenger car sales grew by 7pc, while LCV registrations rose by 46,9pc as compared to the same period year prior.
