The Indian government has appointed Pradip Kumar Tripathi as the new steel secretary, as per media reports. Tripathi will take charge after Binoy Kumar’s term ends. Kumar who was to retire on May 31, has been granted superannuation.
Pradip Kumar Tripathi is an IAS officer of 1987 batch of Jammu and Kashmir (JK) cadre. Binoy Kumar, a 1983 batch officer had taken over as Secretary, Ministry of Steel on September 1, 2018.
