Indian steelmaker Prakash Industries reported its highest-ever annual DRI production at 905,616mt in FY2020-21, a growth of 10.73pc compare to prior year, as per recent press release.

 

The company also achieved its highest-ever steel sales volume in FY21 at 954,760mt, up by 3.13pc compared to prior year, despite the COVID-19 disruptions.

 

In Q4 FY21, sales volume hit a record 272,142mt, up by 31.16pc over precious year. Sales volume was up by 8.85pc compared to Q3.

 

Prakash Industries has integrated steel mills in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, with a production capacity of 1.2mn mt of Sponge iron, 1.1mn mt of steel billets, 130,000mt of ferro alloys at Champa and 1.1mn mt of finished steel (wire rods, TMT bars, structural) at Raipur. It also has captive iron ore mines in Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
