Peugeot Société Anonyme (PSA) Group’s aftermarket division has acquired Amanha Global, a used car parts distributor. The deal also includes the purchase of Amanha’s e-commerce platform, B-Parts.com.

Amanha is based in Porto, Portugal, and supplies parts to various automotive consumers. According to a press release by PSA on Tuesday, the move is aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the industry by re-using refurbished parts sold by the Portuguese firm. Amanha is recognized for its expertise in the field and has 100,000 points of contact in 15 countries.

According to PSA, the move will also increase its financial performance while enhancing the reach of B-Parts.com in Europe to meet the growing demand for replacement parts. PSA is a holding company that owns the Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel, and Vauxhall brands. The company produced 672,688 cars in the first half of 2020 and held a 15.7pc share in the European Union (EU) market.
