Australia-based Red River Resources produced 2310mt of copper in Q3 2020 ending March, up by 36pc from the prior-year period. Production of zinc and lead concentrates fell by 52pc and 70pc from the year prior.
The company’s quarterly production, however, rose in Q3 compared to prior quarter driven by increased mine production and mill throughput. Copper concentrates produced were up by 750mt from the prior quarter to 2,310mt. Zinc concentrate production stood at 4,310mt in the March quarter from 3,781mt produced in the prior quarter, up by 14pc. A total 1,117mt of lead was produced in Q3 up by 241mt or 28pc from the previous quarter.

The company declared that mining activities ceased at the West 45 underground mine in March.On COVID-19 the company stated that all mining and processing activities continue at Red River’s Thalanga Operation in Northern QLD and they plan to restart activities at Red River’s Hillgrove Gold Project in NSW. Thalanga and Hillgrove are residential operations and Red River is making sure that their community is not impacted. Red River has implemented preventative measures to reduce risk to its people and operations at all sites.
