Australia headquartered Red River renewed offtake agreements with Trafigura for next three years starting January 2021. The renewal includes agreements for lead and zinc concentrates. According to the agreement, Red River will truck approximately 200km to the Port of Townsville for the onward delivery to the customers.
Trafigura has also provided a working capital of up to $15mn for Red River and Cromarty Resources. Trafigura is one of the largest physical commodities trading groups in the world. Trafigura sources, stores, transports and delivers a range of raw materials including oil and refined products and metals and minerals to clients around the world.
Red River Resources’s Thalanga Base Metal Operation in Northern Queensland was acquired in 2014. The company commenced copper, lead and zinc concentrate production at the site in September 2017. Red River has recently acquired the high-grade Hillgrove Gold Project in New South Wales.
