Indian state-owned steelmaker Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has recorded the highest production of hot metal.

 

The company produced 500,000mt of hot metal which is the highest it has ever produced in August since its inception, the company announced on its Twitter account. 

 

RINL also achieved record crude steel and saleable steel production of 447,000mt and 443,000mt respectively in August.

 

The company has three blast furnaces, each with an installed capacity of 7,500mt per day or 2.5mn mt annually at the Visakhapatnam 

plant.

 

Additionally, the company has kept its rebar prices flat for Sept deliveries and raised prices for wire rods and rounds by Rs500/mt ($7/mt), sources informed.
