Romania’s car production in November rose by 8.72pc to 48,208 units from 44,341 units in November 2019, according to the Association of Romanian Automakers (ACAROM).
Of the total output, 28,650 units were produced at the Dacia plant in Mioveni, while 19,558 units were manufactured at the Ford plant in Craiova.
There was an increase in car output as the auto sector is recovering slowly from the COVID-19 pandemic and car sales are improving.
In the Jan-Nov period, Romania’s car output fell by 10.52pc to 404,699 units from 452,272 units in the prior period. The decline in the cumulative output was due to the severe impact of the pandemic on the automobile sector across the globe, especially in April and May.
