Steel Authority of India-owned Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) produced 4.06mn mt of hot metal and 3.6mn mt of crude steel in December 2020, according to media reports.
On December 30, the company recorded a single-day production of 15,180mt of hot metal and dispatched 16,552mt of saleable steel a day later. Earlier, RSP had set a record for the highest single-day crude steel production on October 28 with 13,336mt. Saleable steel amounted to 21,354mt on October 31.
